The Brief
As part of UX\UI Design course, I was tasked to design a weather app inspired by a famous artist\designer.
For this project, I chose to do it about the op art artist - Bridget Riley. She uses precise geometric patterns and optical illusions in her works to explore perception. Through contrasts, repetition, and color, she generates effects of depth and vibration, emphasizing the viewer's active role in interpretation.
Bridget Riley ( 1931 ) is an op art artist who uses precise geometric patterns and optical illusions in her works to explore perception. Through contrasts, repetition, and color, she generates effects of depth and vibration, emphasizing the viewer's active role in interpretation. Inspired by nature, she distills its essence into abstract, engaging forms. Bridget is also an art educator that tries to inspire experimentation in her students.
I took inspiration from Bridget’s work to set the same voice and tone in this app. Creating depth, motion and illusion in every screen. The - “create” feature gives the option to costumize the “weather” based on the user’s mood and helps to experiment to develop a more creative eye.
